A native of West Texas, Dale was born and raised in Odessa. He graduated from
Odessa High School and obtained his degree in Fire Science from Odessa College
as well as his Paramedic license. He and his wife Ann, also from Odessa, have
been married for 29 years. They are proud parents of their son, Austin and his
beautiful family. *(See our photos below)
After a distinguished career with the Odessa Fire Department, Dale retired in
November 2007 with twenty-three years of service. During his tenure he served
in many positions within the fire department.

- Assistance Chief of Administration
- Assistance Chief of Emergency Medical Services
Dale has given much of his time to his community. He has also served as:
- Emergency Management Coordinator for Odessa and Ector County
- Director of the Permian Basin Regional Incident Coordination Center
- Executive committee member for the Regional Advisory Council for Trauma and numerous other committees.
Currently Dale is an adjunct emergency planner for Texas A&M Extension Service. On a part-time, contract basis with the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (NERTC), he utilizes his training in Emergency Management to write Standard Operating Guidelines for Emergency Operations Centers for the State of Texas.
